"Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness."
— Dr. Peter Levine
You are beautiful and deserving of having an empathetic witness to your story. We live in a fragmented world where true empathy can be hard to find. My personal story includes interpersonal, religious, medical, and political traumas that have inspired me to dedicate myself to learning how to be an empathetic witness for others. It is also why I take great pleasure in helping others connect with a therapist or a modality that can start that sacred journey toward healing and wholeness.
Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in counseling psychology, as well as narrative-focused trauma certifications. I have experience with many therapeutic trauma modalities. Some of my personal favorites are narrative, IFS, and EMDR.
When I’m not working or in school, you can usually find me with my kids, playing volleyball in the pool, watching movies, or taking long walks with our dog. I also love to travel and have visited eleven different countries as well as lived in both Belgium and Turkey.
Thank you for entrusting us with your care--we are excited to meet you and join you on your journey!

I am passionate about guiding individuals through trauma recovery and have been so incredibly blessed to witness miracles daily as I see lives transform back to a state of wholeness.
Through my certification as a Trauma Recovery Coach and training as a Somatic Practitioner, I’ve learned to facilitate healing from trauma and PTSD. Personally, I have practiced the healing modalities I've regularly used with my clients over the past 20 years.
In order for profound, deep healing, we must address not only our mind but also the body and spirit – which affects every aspect of our lives.
Somatic therapy offers an integrative approach to healing, using modalities to assist in regulating the nervous system through mindful movement, breath work, meditation, body work and more; to release stress, tension, and trauma from the body.
My intention is to come alongside you in your healing process to create a life you love living. I find passion and purpose in offering individuals guidance to powerfully choose freedom and ease both in body and mind, returning them to a true state of being.

"You're allowed to be happy, hurting, and healing all at once. You're a human, not a rock."
I believe this truth is central to the healing process. Our stories are made up of both joy and pain—chapters we cherish and pages we struggle to turn. But every part of your story matters, because you matter.
I'm currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University and bring over 12 years of experience as a social worker, where I supported children, teens, and families in creating safe, supportive environments for growth. Now, as a counselor-in-training, I continue to walk alongside clients with compassion and curiosity.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients process trauma, challenge negative thought patterns, and build resilience. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and deeply human—because healing doesn't happen in isolation.
I welcome individuals from all walks of life into my counseling space. I have a special passion for supporting moms who feel overwhelmed, weighed down by stress, anxiety, or depression. I also enjoy working with teens who need a steady, compassionate presence as they navigate the unique challenges of adolescence. Additionally, I find joy in helping children who are experiencing emotional dysregulation or facing difficult life transitions, offering them tools to feel more grounded and understood.
As a Christian, I am happy to integrate faith and spirituality into sessions at a client's request, and I have an undergraduate degree in Christian Counseling.
When I’m not counseling, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband of seventeen years and our three kids, making memories together. I love being outdoors—whether it’s hiking, paddleboarding, or just soaking in the desert sun. I’m a pretty solid pickleball player and can definitely hold my own in a game of neighborhood four square. While cooking isn’t my strength (and meal planning is my nemesis), I make up for it with a love of exercise, great conversation, and a serious appreciation for ice cream.
When you're ready to take the next step, I would be honored to walk with you along that journey and hear your story. I can't wait to meet you.

Sometimes, our most challenging experiences in life can also be catalysts for change, growth, and healing. Your story matters.
I am completing my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am grateful to join the Stories team. So much of our lives are impacted by what has happened to us, and many of these things are out of our control. We are not responsible for what happened to us, but we have agency and responsibility in our healing. My style of therapy is relational-focused, ensuring we establish a collaborative environment that feels safe and comfortable for you. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help my clients work through trauma and life by understanding our adaptive and maladaptive behaviors and attachment history.
I welcome all populations of clients to my office. I am specifically passionate about supporting high-achieving women and mothers who may struggle with people-pleasing and relationships. I also help men, women, and adolescents with depression, anxiety, codependency, grief, co-parenting, and trauma.
Spirituality and faith can be integral to the healing process, and I’m here to support you regardless of your beliefs. At your request, I am happy to integrate faith and spiritual practices into our time together.
Outside of school and the therapy office, you can find me enjoying time with my two amazing children, busy with horse riding and baseball, enjoying the outdoors, photography, watching football, lifting heavy weights in the gym, and trading all these textbooks for some fun reading!
I know this work will be one of the greatest honors of my life.
I am here to support you in rewriting your story. I can’t wait to meet you.

“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
— A.A. Milne (Winnie the Pooh)
As a trauma-informed therapist, this quote resonates deeply with me because I believe that everyone has an inner strength that can sometimes be hard to see, especially during difficult times. Life can often feel overwhelming, like we’re just reacting to each day without really feeling in control. If you’re feeling lost or disconnected, I’m here to help you reconnect with that strength and wisdom within yourself. You don’t have to have all the answers right now; together, we’ll explore what’s going on and work through it so you can find clarity and peace.
I’ve spent over 15 years walking alongside individuals and families through some of life’s most challenging experiences. As a licensed funeral director, I’ve supported those navigating grief and loss. I’ve helped couples rebuild their connection, individuals heal from childhood trauma, and people explore their spiritual paths. I’ve also worked with those balancing demanding careers or running their own businesses. Many of my clients deal with anxiety, depression, stress, or the lingering effects of PTSD. We are all part of different systems—family, work, culture—and understanding how these systems affect us is essential for healing.
I see healing as a process of reprocessing unprocessed experiences. When difficult things happen, our brains can get stuck, which can show up as emotional or psychological symptoms. Using the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model, we’ll work to process those stuck memories, expand your window of tolerance, and help you develop tools to manage life’s challenges with more confidence and ease.
When I’m not working, I’m traveling with my partner and our kids, catching a sporting event, enjoying a music festival or concert, or simply soaking in the outdoors.
I have experience and training in the following modalities EMDR, RTEP, IFS, DBT and CBT.

“Why don't seagulls fly over the bay? ...Because then, they would be called bagels!" Haha! Life can be hard, and it's important to find ways to laugh. It's also vital to consider all areas of health and wellness.
In addition to a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling, I have a Masters degree in Biblical Leadership and also an ordained pastor. I hold level 1 and 2 training in EMDR and have experience with neurofeedback, biofeedback, trauma, substance use, addiction and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. I have over 22 years of experience in counseling/mentoring adolescents, couples, adults and families dealing with all kinds of life experiences.
I am happy to come alongside clients however they desire and do my best to create a safe and trusting environment and relationship. I have benefitted from counseling myself and value it immensely. My wife and I have a blended family with four kids (1 from marriage, 1 biological and 2 from foster care/adoption). Hiking the Grand Canyon and relaxing in Rocky Point are two of our favorite things to do.

Relationships are incredibly powerful forces in our lives. They can be the source of our deepest joy and our deepest pain. But healthy relationships do not always come easily. Despite our best intentions, we inevitably experience tension, confusion, and conflict at various points along the way.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, it is my privilege to work with couples, individuals, children, and families as they navigate these challenging seasons of life.
I hold a Master of Arts in marriage and family therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Grand Canyon University. I would love to meet you, hear your story, and find out how I can help.
In addition to being a therapist, I am also an Arizona native, songwriter, Jesus-follower, wife, mom, and life-long learner. My husband and I have been married for 22+ years and are raising our five kids on an acre of land that we share with an ever-changing assortment of animals. Other things I love include Friday date nights, iced coffee, playing Ultimate Frisbee, and comfort food (which for me is all the food).

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
—Maya Angelou
There is something sacred about the experiences, the stories, that shape our lives. If somewhere along the lines you’ve lost touch with your own story, I’m here to help you take back authorship of your life.
If you find yourself…
Running on anxiety and caffeine
Overachieving, jumping from one thing to the next
Disconnected from yourself and others
Spinning your wheels, getting nowhere
Meeting everyone else’s needs but have no idea what you need
Over-committed, stressed out, burnt out
Grab your coffee and come sit on my couch! It’s time to start your journey of self-discovery!
By identifying patterns keeping you stuck, healing past attachment wounding, and reconnecting to yourself and your people, you can begin consciously creating a life that fully aligns with who you are and what matters most.
“If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy, don’t hesitate. Give into it…Joy is not made to be a crumb.”
- Mary Oliver
About Me:
I’m passionate about this work because I’ve done it myself. As a recovering people-pleaser, perfectionistic, over-functioner, I know what it’s like to struggle with feeling stuck in old patterns. My own therapy journey has been the biggest catalyst for my own healing. It’s the greatest privilege to share in people’s journey and watch them awaken to who they were meant to be.
Specialties:
I use a trauma-informed, attachment-based, mindful approach that focuses on the stories you tell to make sense of your experiences, AND the stories your body is holding onto. We tap into the wisdom of your nervous system to rewire subconscious patterns. Would it even be therapy if we didn’t talk boundaries? We’re going there. Most importantly, we’ll strengthen your sense of self to give you the confidence you need to live authentically.
“It’s not that therapy will make you happy, it’s that it will drastically increase the depth and authenticity of your happiness.”
—Emily Anhalt

I have a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and licensed through the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health. I’m trained in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, IFS, EFT, ACT, and DBT.

I believe that we are storied beings - that we find meaning and hope within the complex narratives and systems we inhabit. Sometimes these systems and narratives are imposed on us and impede well-being. I listen to and work with people to understand, name, and reauthor these stories so a greater sense of well-being is achieved.
I have been in the caring professions for over 25 years with experience in psychiatric group homes and hospitals, higher education, and church settings. I have extensive training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy (Level 1, Level 2, Seven Principles, and Couples in Recovery), Restoration Therapy for individuals and couples, and have training in HeartMath techniques for self-regulation. I am also well trained in and regularly use EMDR for working with trauma.
As an ordained minister with doctoral level training, I am well positioned to integrate faith with therapy when desired. Though my background is evangelical, I have a progressive, open, relational, affirming, and generous view of the Divine. I would happily walk with someone going through faith deconstruction, questioning, or transition. My own understanding of faith compels me to see all people as loved and worthy, no strings attached.
Though I specialize in couples therapy, I also work with individuals, families, and children. I believe hope hovers within reach of everyone, offering true peace and wholeness. I welcome the opportunity to enter your story as you discover your own strength, resilience, and ability to flourish.

There is always hope. Your past doesn’t have to define you or dictate your future. Let’s work on creating space for deeper joy together.
I hold a Masters degree in clinical counseling and am licensed in the State of Arizona. I am also EMDR trained, and utilize trauma informed approach to therapy. I have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Sand Tray, Play Therapy, Parts Work and Attachment.
My goal is to create a safe place for clients to be seen and heard and to help them restore a sense of identity beyond their pain. Every person is valuable. I offer biblical integration in sessions if so desired. As a follower of Jesus I believe that Jesus is the ultimate healer and it is an honor to be used by Him to help walk alongside His people sharing in their pain. All throughout the Bible, we see examples of God transforming evil into good. He turns ashes into beauty. He can do a lot with a little. Nothing is ever wasted, so don’t waste your pain. Let it make you better.

"Whoever you are, no matter how lonely, the world offers itself to your imagination, calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting - over and over announcing your place in the family of things."

Your life is inherently valuable. Your story has meaning. No matter where you're at or what you've experienced, hope still beckons. Not with a guarantee of certainty, but with a promise of fullness, healing, and belonging. My hope as a licensed therapist is to meet with those in the midst of pain and uncertainty as they pursue growth and a greater sense of connection and authenticity.
I believe therapy is a process where we can learn to slow down, listen to our emotions and bodies, uncover clarity and understanding in our stories, and find ways to move forward in greater awareness and agency. My approach draws from the work of existential, narrative, family-systems, and attachment-based therapies. I use mindfulness, body-centered, attachment related, and trauma-informed approaches, and I have training in a variety of evidence based approaches including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and EFT. I am licensed in the state of Arizona, and I obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
I’m passionate about working with adults, couples, families, and teens. My training includes working with those navigating the complexities of trauma and those facing seasons of change and transition. I have extensive experience working with clients navigating depression, anxiety, stress, and burnout, along with those confronting the unknowns of grief and loss. I'm open to integrating faith and spirituality into counseling as well, and I'm happy to explore how we might do that based on your situation and experience. Ultimately, I aspire to cultivate a space free of judgment in the hopes of engaging your story and experience with genuine curiosity and openness.
